Homemade Banana Bread


ingredients: 
  • 2 peeled ripe bananas 
  • 1 1/2 cups of flour
  • 1/3 cup of melted butter 
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup of sugar 
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • one pinch of salt 
  • powdered sugar  
  • optional: Chocolate Chips or pecans
instructions: 
  1.  You will need to preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. Spray your bread loaf pan with vegetable oil.
  3. You will start with mashing your bananas with a fork in a mixing bowl and adding in your melted butter. (i heated the butter in a microwave safe bowl for 15 seconds).
  4. Begin mixing in your baking soda, salt, sugar, egg, vanilla extract, and then your flour. You can also use an electronic mixer. (was easier to mix).
  5. After mixing all of your ingredients you can begin pouring the mixture into your loaf pan. 
  6. Cook time: 1 hour and 15 Minutes.  Check occasionally. I inserted a toothpick to make sure it was fully cooked. The toothpick should come out clean. Your bread should be brown and crispy!
  7. Carefully remove from oven and let cool. Gently take out from the pan and place on a plate. Sprinkle with powdered sugar for extra sweetness or leave by itself. Slice it and serve with a cup of milk or coffee! Enjoy!
